This add-on allows you to meet the sitter before the service starts, giving you the opportunity to see how they interact with your dog and ensuring a good fit.
What is the "Meet & Greet"?
The "Meet & Greet" is an add-on service that allows pet owners to arrange a meeting with the sitter before the official start date of the booking. This meeting offers a unique opportunity for you, your dog, and the sitter to get to know each other in person. It's a great way to ensure that everyone is comfortable and to address any questions or concerns you might have, including how the sitter manages your dog or how your dog interacts with the sitter’s dog if they have one.
Benefits of the "Meet & Greet"
- Observe Interaction: See firsthand how the sitter handles your dog and ensure their management style aligns with your expectations.
- Compatibility Check: You can observe how your dog interacts with the sitter and, if relevant, the sitter’s dog.
- Clarify Expectations: Discuss any specific needs (eg medical, behavior or dietary issues), routines (eg feeding, exercise), as well as individual preferences directly with the sitter. Please ensure that the sitter uses the “Meet & Greet Checklist,” or feel free to complete it yourself in advance.
- Personal Connection: Establish a personal connection with the sitter, making the transition smoother for your dog.
How Does it Work?
- Booking: When you book a service through Gudog, you will have the option to add the "Meet & Greet" to your booking. The cost for this add-on ranges from £/€6 to £/€8.
- Scheduling: Once the "Meet & Greet" is added, you can arrange a convenient time to meet the sitter before the service starts.
- Meeting: Meet the sitter at the agreed-upon location, get to know each other, and discuss any important details about your dog’s care.
- Confirmation: After the meeting, if everything goes well, you can proceed with the booked service, feeling assured about your choice.
Important Information
- Non-Refundable Fee: The "Meet & Greet" fee will not be refunded in case of booking cancellation for any reason, except if the meeting has not been conducted.
- Flexibility: If you or the sitter need to reschedule the meeting, simply communicate with each other to find a new suitable time. Ensure that the meeting is scheduled with enough time in advance in case you prefer to change your sitter. Additionally, be mindful of Gudog’s Cancellation Policies.
- Security and Clarity: Please conduct all scheduling and meeting agreements through the Gudog chat for security reasons and to avoid misunderstandings.

- When booking a service, look for the "Meet & Greet" option in the add-ons section.
- Select the "Meet & Greet" and proceed with your booking.
- Coordinate with your sitter to set up the meeting.
