Introduction to the Digital Services Act (DSA)
The Digital Services Act (DSA) is a regulation implemented by the European Union and Norway to address harmful or illegal goods, services, and content online. At Gudog, we prioritise creating a safe environment for pet service providers, pet owners, and their pets. As part of our commitment to compliance with the DSA, we have implemented various measures to ensure a secure online experience for our community.
Ensuring Safety on Gudog
Gudog connects pet parents with trusted pet service providers. Our platform strictly prohibits the use of Gudog to post or send content that is pornographic, threatening, harassing, abusive, defamatory, incites violence, violates intellectual property rights, is considered spam, impersonates others, or engages in fraudulent activities.
To maintain a safe platform, Gudog takes the following actions:
- Facilitate Safe Pet Care: Gudog makes it easy for pet parents to find an ideal pet service provider.
- Review Policy: Reviews violating our Review Policy or Terms and Conditions are removed. While feedback is generally not interfered with, any reviews reported to us that breach our policies will be addressed accordingly.
- Regular Monitoring: We regularly monitor activity between users on our platform, investigate reports of inappropriate conduct, and take appropriate action to address concerns raised by pet parents and pet service providers. This includes removing users who violate our Terms of Service at https://gudog.ie/terms.
- Reporting users: Users can report other profiles by email to our Customer Service team, who will review the claim and take necessary actions. For reports please contact us at: info@gudog.com
- User Support: Our Trust & Safety team is available to provide support and troubleshooting for users.
- Help Centre: Gudog provides a help centre that educates users about the platform and encourages excellent pet care.
- Transparent Communication: We maintain transparent communication with users via in-app communications and clear guidelines regarding their obligations on the platform, as outlined in our Terms of Service at https://gudog.ie/terms.
- Data Protection: We safeguard financial and personal information using encryption and secure third-party payment processors.
- Reporting Illegal Content: Users can report illegal content to our Customer Service team via email. For illegal content reports within the EU, please contact us at: info@gudog.com
Please follow this format for reporting:
- Subject: Notice of Illegal Content
- Details: Explanation of why the content is illegal, the exact location (URL), and any supporting evidence.
- Your Information: Include your name and email.
- Statement: “I confirm that I have a good faith belief that the information and allegations contained in this notice are accurate and complete.”
Using Gudog to post content that violates our Terms of Service or abusing the reporting procedure can lead to account suspension or deactivation as detailed in USE OF THE SERVICE of our Terms and Conditions.

Transparency on Gudog

Pet owners can search for pet service providers, browse profiles, and arrange bookings on Gudog. The search results are personalised based on location, preferences, availability, profile quality, response rate, booking history, and reviews. There is no fixed ranking for sitters, and search results may vary for different users.
Users Under 18
Gudog does not market to users under 18. As stated in LOCAL REGULATIONS of our Terms and Conditions, users must be at least 18 years old to use Gudog. Accounts may be limited, suspended, or deactivated based on our review as outlined in our Terms and Conditions.
