As life is full of surprises, we understand that some last minute events can pop-up and you could no longer need a sitter for your dog anymore. In this case, you can cancel your booking at any point from our Gudog app or website.
If your booking has not been confirmed yet, you can cancel it without any issues and you won't be charged.
Once your booking is confirmed, you can cancel it and the cancellation policy applied will depend on how well in advance you cancel your booking:
UPDATE - CURRENT CANCELLATION POLICY DUE TO COVID-19
- FREE CANCELLATION, if you cancel your booking more than 24 hours before the service begins. You will receive a 100% refund on your booking including the Gudog service fee.
ex: my booking starts on January 5 at 10:00 am in the morning. This policy will apply if I cancel my booking before 10:00 am on January 4.
If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before the start of the service, you will receive a refund of the amount paid, except the Gudog commission and 30% of the amount charged by the dog sitter.
ex: my booking starts on January 5 at 10:00 am in the morning. This policy will apply if I cancel my booking between 10:00 a.m. on January 4 and 9:59 a.m. on January 5.
If you do not use the service once the booking start date and time begins, it is not possible to cancel the booking. You will not receive any refund and the dog sitter will be paid for the entire booking.
ex: my booking starts today at 10:00 am in the morning, but due to unforeseen circumstances I no longer require the service. This policy will apply and the option to cancel will not be available from 10:00 am in the morning on the start date of the booking.
If after starting the service, you decide to pick up your dog earlier than expected, you will not receive any refund and the dog sitter will be paid for the entire booking.
ex: my reservation ends on January 10 but I will be arriving earlier than expected and will pick up my dog on January 8.
Only those bookings cancelled through the Gudog app or website will be considered valid.
All cancellations made via email, messages to our social media or messages to the dog sitter will not be valid.
Once the booking is cancelled, the dog sitter will receive an email confirming the cancellation. The refund may take roughly 3 to 5 working days from the day of cancellation, to appear in your bank account.
In a situation where the cancellation comes from the dog sitter, the sitter would have to cancel the booking and you will receive a full refund (including the Gudog fee).
