What's our cancellation policy?

As life is full of surprises, we understand some last minute events can pop up and you don't need a dog sitter for your dog anymore. In this case, you can cancel your booking at any point from our mobile app or our website Gudog.co.uk.

If your booking hasn't been confirmed yet, you can cancel it without any issue and you won't be charged.

If your booking is confirmed, you can cancel it and we will apply the following cancellation policy:

  • If you cancel your booking more than 24 hours before the beginning of the service, you will receive a refund of the amount of the booking minus the Gudog fee.

For example: The booking starts on January 5th. This policy will apply if you cancel your booking before January 4th.

  • If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before the beginning of the service, you will receive a refund of 70% of the amount paid minus the Gudog fee (the 30% remaining being for the dog sitter).

For example: The booking starts on January 5th. This policy will apply if you cancel your booking from January 4th.

  • If you cancel your booking at the date and time where the service is supposed to begin, you will not receive any refund and the dog sitter will be paid for the entire booking.

For example: The booking starts today but in the end something comes up and I don't need the service. I'm cancelling.

  • If you wish to pick up your dog earlier than planned once the service has begun, you will not get any refund and the dog sitter will be paid for the entire booking.

For example: The booking end on January 10th, but actually I'm coming home sooner and I'll be picking up my dog on the 8th.

How do I cancel a booking?

Only will bookings cancelled through our app or our website Gudog.co.uk be considered valid.

All cancellations made via email, message on our social media or message to the dog sitter will not be valid.

Once the booking cancelled, the dog sitter will receive an email informing him. The refund can take between 3 to 5 working days (after the cancellation) to appear on your bank account.

In the case where the cancellation came from the dog sitter, he will have to cancel the booking himself and you will get a full refund (Gudog fee included).
