EU Council Directive 2021/514, “DAC7” is a European Union (EU) directive designed to improve tax transparency within the digital platform economy. It introduces new reporting requirements for digital platforms operating within the EU.
How does DAC7 affect Gudog?
DAC7 requires digital platforms, like Gudog, to collect and report specific information about their users. Gudog will provide information about the user’s activity on the platform to tax authorities. This is a common practice for online platforms across the EU, so you may already be familiar with similar requests on other platforms.
Which users does DAC7 involve?
This regulation applies to users who meet both of these requirements:
- Reside in an EU member state.
- Completed a booking on Gudog during the current calendar year.
What information is provided?
From Gudog we request the following information from the users:
- Name and surname
- Address of residence
- Country of residence
- Date of birth
- Bank account reference
- Tax Identification Number
From Gudog we provide the following information about the user’s activity on the platform:
- Number of completed bookings for each quarter.
- Total earnings from completed bookings for each quarter of the year.
- Any fees deducted from your payments (Gudog’s fee).
How can I get my latest DAC7 report?
To view and download your DAC7 report(s), you can access your profile from the Gudog website and you will find it in the ‘Identity verification’ section.
